8. Event and Artist Submission Data Retention
RaveSpots keeps submission-related personal information only for the time needed to operate the website, review submissions, contact submitters, handle disputes, and protect the website.
For submitted events, the submitter’s name, email address, IP address, and related private submission data will be deleted after the event has passed.
We keep this information until the event has passed so we can contact the submitter if we need more information, need to verify details, receive a claim, receive a dispute, receive a correction request, receive a takedown request, or need to investigate spam, fraud, or abuse connected to that event.
If there is an active claim, dispute, takedown request, legal issue, fraud issue, abuse issue, or security issue related to an event submission, we may keep the minimum information needed until that issue is resolved. Once the issue is resolved and the information is no longer needed, the private submission data will be deleted.
For artist submissions, private submitter information is kept while the artist submission is pending, being reviewed, disputed, corrected, or handled. Once the private submitter information is no longer needed for review, contact, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, security, or recordkeeping, it will be deleted.
Public event or artist listing information may remain visible on the website until it is removed, edited, expired, archived, or deleted by RaveSpots.
9. Giveaways, Contests, and Sweepstakes
RaveSpots may offer giveaways, contests, sweepstakes, promotions, or similar activities in the future.

After a winner has been chosen and verified, RaveSpots may keep the winner’s name, email address, entry details, and related giveaway records for up to one year in case we need to contact the winner, confirm prize delivery, resolve a giveaway-related issue, handle a dispute, or maintain necessary records.
After one year from the date the winner is chosen and verified, giveaway personal information will be deleted unless a longer period is required for an active legal issue, tax issue, fraud issue, security issue, or unresolved dispute. Once that issue is resolved and the information is no longer needed, the information will be deleted.
RaveSpots has no use for giveaway personal information outside of operating, verifying, completing, and maintaining necessary records for the giveaway.
We do not collect giveaway information to sell it.
Giveaways, contests, and sweepstakes may have separate official rules, eligibility requirements, deadlines, prize restrictions, age restrictions, location restrictions, and verification requirements.
